The Profit First Professional Convention is happening this week in Morristown, NJ, and I couldn’t be more excited! Running from September 27 through September 30, “Profit Con” is the place to be to get your business operating the way you’ve always envisioned it could. As a participant at Profit Con, you will have the opportunity to meet Profit First Professionals from around the world and learn key strategies to address the day-to-day challenges in your business. We know how important it is for small businesses to survive, and we want to give you the tools to be successful and profitable, and that includes paying yourself!
Not meaning to sound like a walking billboard here, but this conference not only helps you learn, but helps you perform right on the spot. We’ll be discussing things like automation to reduce errors; faster, reliable onboarding and how to effectively delegate tasks. These are practical day-to-day techniques that remind you what is important and where to focus your energy in your business while making time for yourself.
As I’ve learned in my own business, growth does not happen overnight. Growth is a long, steady, sometimes bumpy process, and the Profit First professionals are ready to help! I’ve been to several of the annual Profit Con events now, as a participant and as a Profit First professional, and I can tell you that each year, I learn as much myself as I share with others.
Profit First Professionals
Simply put, becoming a Profit First Professional has changed the way I think. In 2016, I had the privilege to receive the “Member of the Year” award presented by Mike Michalowicz. Becoming a member of this organization has helped me elevate my business by sharing valuable tools with me, teaching me proven methods, and showing me tangible, successful results.
Fighting entrepreneurial poverty is an important goal of mine, so receiving this award last year was very meaningful to me. And this year, I have the privilege to be speaking at this convention about how we are streamlining bookskeep as a Profit First Professional organization, and I just can’t wait to share my experiences!
Finding Your Niche
Finding your niche answers many questions you may have about your business. It provides you with a more precise and clearer vision of your business model. For bookskeep, I decided in late 2015 to pursue Amazon/E-commerce sellers, which gave me and my team the focus we needed to excel. For example, market research, marketing and sales activities were now focused on the specific needs and challenges of the Amazon reseller. Once you select your niche, you can focus your efforts on finding industry-specific influencers and experts… who can lead you to potential clients!
This conference has numerous other professionals with all kinds of helpful books like Clockwork by Mike Michalowicz. This is Mike’s new book and it will give you practical insight on how to spend your time effectively and how to avoid the self-employment trap. Freedom in your life and business is an important balance to success; this book will help recreate your direction.
